The Message is Love (feat. Jammer & Badness)

A 3 track dubstep ep (13m 1s) — released April 27th 2009 on No Hats No Hoods

'The Message is Love' is a tropical fusion of soca and grime, bringing together the highest energy musical stlyings from the Caribbean and the UK. The result is a truly unique track that is wrecking dancefloors worldwide (on a must have white label) and was Ras Kwame's 'Track of the Week' on BBC Radio 1. Whether it be in the basements of a sweaty house club or the exotic surroundings of a traditional soca dance the track is a cross-genre underground hit and has already seen radio support from Tim Westwood (BBC Radio 1), Sinden (Kiss), Mista Jam (BBC 1xtra) and Logan Sama (Kiss) plus spins from top DJs such as Diplo, Radioclit, Starkey, Toddla T, Mumdance and 1xtra's Specialist soca Dj Alex Jordan The story behind such a unique, genre-spanning record is centred on the coming together of like-minded artists from very different backgrounds. Jammer is at the forefront of the UK grime scene, recently signing to Dizzee Rascal's 'Dirtee Stank' label and accompanying him to SXSW in Texas earlier this year. He first found acclaim within the scene for his legendary hit 'Murkle Man' which accompanied his superhero persona, and followed this up with a huge catalogue of hits, including his track 'Destruction VIP' which was featured on Diplo's Fabriclive mix. Badness embodies the heart and soul of dancehall combined with the raw energy of grime that has seen him support Dancehall Legend Richie Spice on his UK tour. Silverlink's 'digital soca' sound has seen him remix the likes of Lilly Allen, M.I.A and The Klaxons – and taken him from Moscow to San Franciso to dj his unique sound. Combining both Caribbean and UK themes the 'The Message is Love' is foremost about unity and a celebration of these two diverse cultures. So get your whistle out, because it's about time we all had something to smile about!
